The information we collect depends upon how you interact with Spiritual First Aid. This information may include your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, profile photograph, username, date of birth, language preferences, communication preferences, organization or employer, and other information you voluntarily provide while creating or maintaining your account.

If you choose to engage with educational or wellness features, you may voluntarily submit journal entries, reflection exercises, prayer requests, emotional wellness check-ins, assessment responses, personal goals, discussion posts, support requests, messages, comments, course progress, learning history, event participation, surveys, testimonials, and other user-generated content. Submission of this information is entirely voluntary, and you remain responsible for determining what information you choose to share.

In addition to information you provide directly, we automatically collect certain technical information necessary to operate and protect the Platform. This may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, application version, language settings, approximate geographic location, internet service provider, pages visited, features accessed, search activity within the Platform, diagnostic reports, security logs, crash reports, and other technical information generated through your use of the Platform.

If purchases, memberships, subscriptions, donations, or event registrations are offered through the Platform, payment information is processed by secure third-party payment providers. Worldwise United does not intentionally store complete payment card numbers or banking credentials on its own servers except where required to complete authorized transactions or comply with applicable law.

The information we collect is used to operate, improve, secure, and personalize Spiritual First Aid. It allows us to establish and maintain your account, authenticate your identity, deliver educational content, personalize your learning experience, facilitate community participation, process purchases or donations, respond to support requests, communicate important service announcements, improve accessibility, analyze Platform performance, detect fraudulent activity, maintain system security, comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and continue developing new programs and services.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for research, reporting, educational development, statistical analysis, and organizational planning. Information used in this manner no longer identifies individual users.

Worldwise United does not sell your personal information. We do not monetize your personal data through the sale of user profiles or personal identifiers.

While we carefully select our service providers, each operates under its own privacy practices and terms of service. We encourage users to review the policies of any third-party service they choose to interact with through our Platform.

Worldwise United maintains administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information entrusted to us.

Personal information may be stored using secure cloud infrastructure, encrypted databases, protected backup systems, and other commercially reasonable technologies intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Access to personal information is limited to authorized personnel, volunteers, contractors, or service providers who require access to perform legitimate organizational responsibilities and who are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.

Although we continuously work to strengthen our security practices, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, while we strive to protect your information using commercially reasonable safeguards, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage can provide absolute security.

Worldwise United retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining Platform security, complying with applicable laws, resolving disputes, enforcing our agreements, preventing fraud, and satisfying accounting, regulatory, or tax obligations.

You may request deletion of your account and eligible personal information at any time. Once your identity has been reasonably verified, we will process eligible deletion requests within approximately thirty (30) days unless a longer retention period is required by law or reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, legal proceedings, regulatory compliance, security investigations, or other legitimate organizational purposes.

Certain information may remain within disaster recovery backups or anonymized datasets for a limited period after deletion, provided that such information is no longer used to identify you personally.

Spiritual First Aid is operated from the United States by Worldwise United, a nonprofit organization registered in the State of Texas and authorized to operate in the States of Texas and Georgia. This Privacy Policy, and any dispute relating to it, is governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the State of Georgia, together with the federal laws of the United States, with exclusive venue in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas or Gwinnett County, Georgia as described in our Terms of Service, except where the mandatory law of your country or state of residence provides otherwise.

If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, processed within, and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our authorized service providers maintain operations. Where required, such transfers are made using recognized safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses or comparable transfer mechanisms.

By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers where permitted by applicable law. Users accessing the Platform from outside the United States remain responsible for ensuring their own compliance with local laws governing the use of online services.

Wherever you live, you keep the protections of any mandatory privacy or consumer law that applies to you, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, Switzerland’s FADP, Canada’s PIPEDA, Brazil’s LGPD, the Australian Privacy Act, South Africa’s POPIA, Nigeria’s NDPA, India’s DPDP Act, and applicable United States federal and state privacy laws. Where such a law grants you a right that cannot be waived, that right prevails over any conflicting provision of this Privacy Policy.

Regardless of location, Worldwise United applies the same core safeguards to every user: transparency about how information is handled, reasonable security measures, honoring verified access, correction, portability, and deletion requests, and no sale of personal information. You also retain the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection or consumer protection authority in your own jurisdiction.

Worldwise United believes you should have meaningful control over your personal information. Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we maintain about you, request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, request deletion of eligible personal information, object to certain processing activities, request restrictions on how your information is used, withdraw consent where processing is based upon consent, or request a portable copy of certain information in a commonly used electronic format.

To protect your privacy and the security of your account, we may require reasonable verification of your identity before processing any request. We reserve the right to deny requests that are fraudulent, repetitive, technically impractical, prohibited by law, or that would adversely affect the rights, privacy, or safety of other individuals.

Subject to applicable law, eligible residents may have the right to know what personal information is collected about them, request access to their personal information, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of eligible personal information, obtain a portable copy of certain information, opt out of certain uses of personal information where required by law, appeal certain privacy decisions, and exercise other rights provided under applicable state privacy legislation.

Worldwise United will not discriminate against any individual for exercising privacy rights available under applicable law. We are committed to honoring verified privacy requests in accordance with the legal requirements of the jurisdiction in which the request is made.

As privacy laws continue to evolve, Worldwise United reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect new legal requirements and expand or modify the rights described in this section as necessary to remain compliant with applicable law.

Spiritual First Aid is intended for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age unless a specific program clearly states otherwise and appropriate parental or legal guardian consent has been obtained where required by law.

Worldwise United does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we become aware that information has been collected from a child without legally required authorization, we will take reasonable steps to remove that information as promptly as practicable.

Parents or legal guardians who believe a child has submitted personal information through the Platform may contact us to request review or deletion of that information.

Spiritual First Aid encourages meaningful conversations between members, volunteers, facilitators, mentors, and community participants. While Worldwise United works to provide a respectful and secure environment, conversations occurring within the Platform involve interactions between independent users and cannot be guaranteed to remain confidential.

Users should exercise thoughtful judgment regarding the information they choose to share within community discussions, support groups, private messages, journals, or other interactive features.

Worldwise United reserves the right to review community content when reasonably necessary to investigate reports of misconduct, respond to legal obligations, maintain Platform security, protect users from harm, enforce these Terms, or preserve the integrity of the community.

The Platform may include links to websites, applications, resources, videos, educational materials, or services operated by independent third parties. These links are provided solely for informational and educational convenience.

Worldwise United neither controls nor assumes responsibility for the content, privacy practices, availability, security, or accuracy of third-party websites or services. Accessing third party resources is done entirely at your own risk and is governed exclusively by the policies of those third parties.

By creating an account or otherwise providing your contact information, you consent to receive electronic communications from Worldwise United regarding your account, Platform updates, educational content, newsletters, purchases, event registrations, donation receipts, security notifications, policy updates, legal notices, and other communications reasonably necessary for the operation of the Platform.

You may opt out of promotional or marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included within those communications. Transactional, security, legal, and account-related communications may continue to be provided as necessary for the administration of your account and our legal obligations.

Worldwise United respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users to do the same.

If you believe material available through Spiritual First Aid infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, you may submit written notice identifying the protected work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a statement made in good faith that the use is unauthorized, and a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate. Upon receipt of a legally sufficient notice, Worldwise United may investigate the claim and remove or disable access to the disputed material where appropriate.

Knowingly submitting false intellectual property claims may result in legal liability.

Worldwise United is committed to creating a Platform that is as inclusive and accessible as reasonably possible.

We continually evaluate and improve the accessibility of Spiritual First Aid to better serve individuals with varying abilities, technologies, and accessibility needs. Users encountering accessibility barriers are encouraged to contact us so reasonable improvements may be evaluated and implemented where appropriate.

Technology, privacy laws, security standards, and organizational practices continue to evolve. For that reason, Worldwise United reserves the right to modify, update, or replace this Privacy Policy at any time.

When material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date and may provide notice through the Platform, by email, or through other reasonable methods. Continued use of Spiritual First Aid following the effective date of any revised Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of those changes.

If you do not agree with the updated Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the Platform and request closure of your account if desired.
