Every member contributes to the safety and culture of this community. Users are expected to communicate respectfully even during disagreement.

Worldwise United may remove content, restrict access, suspend privileges, or permanently terminate accounts that intentionally create unsafe environments, encourage harassment, exploit vulnerable individuals, repeatedly violate community expectations, distribute false or harmful information, manipulate conversations, solicit unlawful activity, or otherwise undermine the mission of the Platform.

Worldwise United reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, moderate, remove, edit, restrict, or preserve content whenever reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate violations, comply with legal obligations, or maintain Platform integrity.

7. Educational Purpose

All information provided through Spiritual First Aid is intended solely for educational, informational, personal development, leadership development, emotional wellness education, spiritual exploration, and community support purposes.

The Platform is designed to encourage learning, reflection, growth, and personal responsibility.

Content available through the Platform should never be interpreted as medical advice, psychiatric treatment, psychotherapy, counseling, legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, emergency intervention, crisis stabilization, or any other licensed professional service.

You remain solely responsible for your own decisions, actions, health, finances, relationships, and personal circumstances.

8. Peer Support Disclaimer

Spiritual First Aid includes community features that allow individuals to encourage, learn from, and support one another through shared experiences.

Community conversations, discussion groups, volunteer interactions, peer support, mentorship opportunities, and user-generated content are intended solely for educational and supportive purposes.

Community members, moderators, volunteers, facilitators, ambassadors, mentors, and contributors are not acting as licensed physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, counselors, attorneys, financial advisors, or other licensed professionals unless expressly identified in writing.

Opinions expressed by users belong solely to those individuals and do not necessarily represent the views of Worldwise United.

You acknowledge that community discussions should never replace professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency intervention.

9. Medical and Mental Health Disclaimer

Spiritual First Aid is not a medical provider, hospital, mental health clinic, psychotherapy practice, psychiatric practice, crisis response center, or licensed healthcare organization.

The Platform does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions, mental illness, emotional disorders, addiction, trauma, or psychiatric conditions.

Any discussion regarding emotional wellness, stress, relationships, mindfulness, resilience, spirituality, grief, trauma, leadership, or personal growth is presented solely for educational purposes.

Always consult qualified healthcare professionals regarding medical or mental health concerns. Never ignore professional medical advice or delay seeking treatment because of information obtained through this Platform.

Participation in the Platform is voluntary and entirely at your own risk.

10. Crisis and Emergency Disclaimer

Spiritual First Aid is not an emergency service.

The Platform does not provide emergency medical care, suicide prevention services, psychiatric crisis intervention, emergency counseling, emergency dispatch services, or immediate mental health response.

If you believe you or another person is experiencing suicidal thoughts, a mental health emergency, abuse, violence, medical distress, or immediate danger, contact 911, your local emergency services, or the appropriate crisis resources available in your jurisdiction immediately.

Do not rely upon this Platform during emergencies.

Worldwise United, its volunteers, moderators, ambassadors, employees, contractors, facilitators, and community members cannot provide emergency intervention and assume no responsibility for delayed emergency response resulting from reliance upon the Platform.

11. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Features

Certain features of the Platform may utilize artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive technologies, automated recommendations, or algorithmic systems to personalize educational experiences, improve Platform functionality, organize content, summarize information, or enhance user interactions.

Artificial intelligence is designed to assist users but is not a substitute for human judgment or licensed professional advice.

AI-generated information may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate. Users should independently evaluate all AI-generated information before relying upon it.

Worldwise United makes no representation or warranty regarding the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of AI-generated responses. Final decisions remain solely your responsibility.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

Worldwise United reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend, restrict, disable, or permanently terminate your account whenever it reasonably believes you have violated these Terms, endangered another user, engaged in fraudulent conduct, attempted unauthorized access, misused the Platform, infringed intellectual property rights, violated applicable law, disrupted community safety, or otherwise acted in a manner inconsistent with the mission or integrity of Spiritual First Aid.

Termination may occur without prior warning whenever reasonably necessary to protect users, preserve security, comply with legal obligations, investigate misconduct, or maintain Platform operations.

Worldwise United may retain records associated with suspended or terminated accounts where required by law, regulatory obligations, fraud prevention, legal proceedings, auditing requirements, or security investigations.

Any obligations incurred before termination shall survive the closure of your account.

31. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise stated, all content made available through Spiritual First Aid, including its software, source code, architecture, user interface, design elements, workflows, educational materials, written content, assessments, journals, prompts, videos, audio recordings, graphics, illustrations, icons, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, downloadable resources, publications, databases, documents, digital products, mobile applications, and all other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to Worldwise United and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Your access to the Platform does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights. Except as expressly permitted by applicable law or by prior written authorization from Worldwise United, no portion of the Platform may be copied, reproduced, modified, translated, republished, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, reverse-engineered, commercially exploited, or incorporated into any other work or platform.

Limited permission is granted solely for your personal, noncommercial use of the Platform. Any unauthorized use may result in suspension of your account, termination of access, and legal action.

32. User Content License

You retain ownership of the original content you voluntarily submit to Spiritual First Aid, including journal entries, comments, messages, discussion posts, uploaded documents, testimonials, photographs, videos, audio recordings, assignments, assessments, and other user-generated materials.

By submitting content through the Platform, you grant Worldwise United a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, distribute, archive, and process that content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, secure, and provide the Platform and its services.

You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise possess all rights necessary to submit your content and that your content does not violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or contractual obligations.

Worldwise United does not claim ownership of your original content. However, you acknowledge that content shared publicly within community spaces may be viewed, discussed, or responded to by other users in accordance with the functionality of the Platform.

33. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your use of Spiritual First Aid and release Worldwise United, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, ambassadors, facilitators, advisors, affiliates, successors, assigns, and partner organizations from any claims, demands, causes of action, damages, liabilities, judgments, losses, expenses, or costs arising from or relating to your voluntary participation in the Platform.

This release includes, but is not limited to, claims arising from community interactions, educational materials, peer discussions, user-generated content, event participation, recommendations, personal decisions, spiritual discussions, emotional wellness activities, or reliance upon information obtained through the Platform, except where prohibited by applicable law or resulting from willful misconduct that cannot legally be waived.

34. No Warranty

SPIRITUAL FIRST AID IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS,” “AS AVAILABLE,” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS” BASIS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

WORLDWISE UNITED MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NONINFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, RELIABILITY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE PLATFORM WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, THAT ALL CONTENT WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE, OR THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE FREE FROM ERRORS, VIRUSES, MALWARE, OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

35. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WORLDWISE UNITED, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, CONTRACTORS, ADVISORS, AFFILIATES, SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS, LICENSORS, AND PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR ENHANCED DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ASSERTED AND INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY, REPUTATIONAL HARM, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, PERSONAL DECISIONS MADE IN RELIANCE UPON PLATFORM CONTENT, COMMUNITY INTERACTIONS, UNAUTHORIZED ACCOUNT ACCESS, OR ANY OTHER INDIRECT LOSS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF WORLDWISE UNITED ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO WORLDWISE UNITED DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (US $100.00) IF NO PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT PERMIT CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS, LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

36. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Worldwise United, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, ambassadors, facilitators, advisors, affiliates, successors, assigns, licensors, and partner organizations from and against any claims, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, penalties, fines, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, your infringement of another person’s rights, your misuse of Platform services, or any content submitted by you.

This indemnification obligation survives the termination of your account and your relationship with Worldwise United.

37. Force Majeure

Worldwise United shall not be responsible for any delay, interruption, suspension, or failure to perform resulting from events beyond its reasonable control.

Such events include natural disasters, fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, pandemics, epidemics, acts of terrorism, war, civil unrest, labor disputes, utility failures, internet outages, telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, ransomware incidents, governmental actions, supply chain interruptions, failures of third-party service providers, or any other circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Worldwise United.

Performance affected by such events shall be suspended only for the duration reasonably necessary to address the circumstances.

38. Mandatory Arbitration

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Worldwise United agree that any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to Spiritual First Aid, these Terms, the Privacy Policy, your account, or your use of the Platform shall first be submitted to good faith informal negotiations.

If the dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days after either party provides written notice, the dispute shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration rather than litigation in court, except where applicable law expressly prohibits mandatory arbitration.

Any arbitration shall be seated in Dallas County, Texas or Gwinnett County, Georgia, at Worldwise United's election, and shall apply the governing law described in these Terms.

The arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to resolve disputes regarding the interpretation, enforceability, or applicability of this arbitration provision.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking temporary injunctive relief to protect intellectual property rights, confidential information, or Platform security.

39. Class Action Waiver

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AGREE THAT ANY CLAIM AGAINST WORLDWISE UNITED SHALL BE BROUGHT SOLELY IN YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY.

YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, REPRESENTATIVE ACTION, CONSOLIDATED ACTION, OR PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION AGAINST WORLDWISE UNITED.

NO CLAIM MAY BE COMBINED WITH THE CLAIM OF ANOTHER PERSON WITHOUT THE EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF WORLDWISE UNITED.

40. Jury Trial Waiver

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND WORLDWISE UNITED KNOWINGLY, VOLUNTARILY, AND IRREVOCABLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY FOR ANY DISPUTE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO SPIRITUAL FIRST AID, THESE TERMS, THE PRIVACY POLICY, OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

41. Governing Law and Venue

Worldwise United is a nonprofit organization registered in the State of Texas, United States of America, and authorized to operate in the States of Texas and Georgia. The Platform is operated from the United States.

These Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to Spiritual First Aid, Worldwise United, or your use of the Platform shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the State of Georgia, together with the federal laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles and without application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where the laws of Texas and Georgia differ, the law of the state in which Worldwise United maintains the office most closely connected to the matter in dispute shall apply, and Texas law shall apply if that connection cannot be determined.

If any claim is determined to be ineligible for mandatory arbitration, that claim shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas or Gwinnett County, Georgia, United States. You consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts and waive any objection based upon forum non conveniens or similar legal doctrine.

Nothing contained within these Terms limits any consumer protection right, statutory right, or remedy that cannot legally be waived under the mandatory law of your country, state, or place of residence.

42. International Users, Domestic and Global Protections

Spiritual First Aid is available worldwide, and Worldwise United respects that users access the Platform from many different legal systems. This section applies in addition to the governing law and venue provisions above.

Domestic protections: nothing in these Terms waives rights available to residents of the United States under applicable federal or state law, including consumer protection statutes, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and comparable state privacy legislation. Where a state law grants you a right that cannot be waived, that right continues to apply.

Global protections: if you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Nigeria, India, or any other jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer or data protection law applies to you, you keep the protections of that law. This may include rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR and Consumer Rights Act, Canada’s PIPEDA, Brazil’s LGPD, the Australian Consumer Law and Privacy Act, South Africa’s POPIA, Nigeria’s NDPA, and India’s DPDP Act.

Where the mandatory law of your place of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, or prohibits mandatory arbitration, class action waivers, jury trial waivers, or the liability limitations described in these Terms, those provisions apply to you only to the extent permitted by that law, and the local right prevails.

Where a provision of these Terms conflicts with a non-waivable protection available to you, that provision is applied in the most limited way permitted by law and the remainder of these Terms continues in full force and effect.

Regardless of your location, Worldwise United applies the same core safeguards to every user: transparency about how information is handled, reasonable security measures, honoring verified access, correction, portability, and deletion requests, and no sale of personal information.

You remain responsible for ensuring that your own use of the Platform is lawful in the jurisdiction from which you access it. Worldwise United makes no representation that the Platform or its content is appropriate or available for use in every location.

43. Compliance With Applicable Laws

Worldwise United is committed to conducting its operations in accordance with applicable federal, state, and international laws governing nonprofit organizations, consumer protection, privacy, accessibility, intellectual property, electronic communications, and digital services.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of the Platform complies with the laws applicable within their own jurisdiction.

Nothing contained within the Platform shall be interpreted as authorizing unlawful conduct.

44. Reporting Misconduct

Maintaining a safe and respectful community requires the cooperation of every member.

Users are encouraged to promptly report harassment, threats, impersonation, fraud, abuse, exploitation, intellectual property infringement, unlawful activity, security concerns, or other violations of these Terms through the reporting tools provided within the Platform or by contacting Worldwise United directly.

Worldwise United reserves the right to investigate reported conduct, remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, notify appropriate authorities when legally required, and take any action reasonably necessary to protect the safety of users, preserve Platform integrity, and comply with applicable law.

Submission of a report does not guarantee a particular outcome or require Worldwise United to disclose the results of any investigation.

45. Platform Availability

Worldwise United continually works to provide reliable access to Spiritual First Aid. However, uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

From time to time the Platform may become unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, software updates, emergency repairs, security incidents, equipment failures, internet disruptions, third party service interruptions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Worldwise United reserves the right to modify, suspend, discontinue, replace, or remove any feature, service, educational resource, community function, membership benefit, or portion of the Platform at any time with or without prior notice.

We shall not be liable for any loss resulting from temporary or permanent interruptions in Platform availability.

46. Feedback and Suggestions

We welcome ideas, recommendations, feature requests, and suggestions intended to improve Spiritual First Aid.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, any feedback, comments, recommendations, concepts, inventions, designs, or suggestions voluntarily submitted to Worldwise United become nonconfidential and may be used, adapted, modified, reproduced, published, displayed, distributed, or incorporated into future products or services without compensation, attribution, or further permission.

Submission of feedback does not create any confidential, fiduciary, partnership, employment, or agency relationship between you and Worldwise United.

47. Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, sublicense, delegate, or otherwise transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of Worldwise United.

Worldwise United may assign, transfer, or delegate its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, corporate restructuring, financing, transfer of assets, or operation of law.

These Terms shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties and their respective permitted successors and assigns.

48. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable or, if modification is not possible, severed from these Terms.

The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect and shall continue to be legally binding.

49. No Waiver

The failure of Worldwise United to enforce any right, remedy, or provision contained within these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or any future enforcement.

Any waiver must be expressly made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Worldwise United.

A waiver of one provision shall not constitute a waiver of any other provision.

50. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Cookie Policy, and any additional policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the complete and exclusive agreement between you and Worldwise United regarding your access to and use of Spiritual First Aid.

These documents supersede all prior discussions, communications, understandings, negotiations, proposals, or agreements relating to the subject matter contained herein, whether oral or written.

51. Changes to These Terms

Worldwise United reserves the right to revise, amend, modify, or replace these Terms of Service at any time in response to changes in applicable law, technological developments, organizational operations, security practices, or Platform functionality.

When material changes are made, the Effective Date at the beginning of these Terms will be updated. Where appropriate, additional notice may be provided through the Platform, by email, or through other reasonable methods.

Your continued access to or use of Spiritual First Aid following the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those revisions.

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform.

52. Survival

The provisions relating to intellectual property, user content, confidentiality, privacy, data retention, payment obligations, releases, limitation of liability, indemnification, arbitration, class action waiver, jury trial waiver, governing law, force majeure, severability, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in full force and effect following the suspension, termination, expiration, or closure of your account.
